Training Lives is a family‑run organisation dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and high‑quality labour solutions to the UK rail sector. Built on extensive industry experience, we were founded to address key challenges in the sector, including skills shortages, inconsistent training standards, and a lack of genuine employment outcomes for new entrants.
We are committed to supporting national infrastructure by developing a competent, motivated workforce that meets the expectations of government bodies, principal contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Michael Richards
Director / Contract Manager
Michael is highly skilled and he has over 20 years experience in the rail industry. He has worked on major rail projects all across the UK including heritage railways.

Austin Richards
Planning Manager / Safety Critical Manager
Austin has been in the Rail Industry since 2003. Since 2019 he has been working as a Possession Planner on both LNW & LNE Regions.
Austin spent many years Excelling in all safety critical roles leading to him competently acting as a Safe Work Manager on major projects such as NWEP Phase’s 4 & 5.

Denis Braniff
Operations Manager
Denis has been in the rail industry for the past 25 years, started his career as a PTS Trackman and moved up the ranks to become our Operation Manager.

Hannah Birtley
Finance / Administration
Hannah has over 6 years experience running the finance and admin department and has worked in the rail industry for the past 3 years.
