We are a new family run business; we care immensely about our Employees and Clients. Training lives was formed because of our years of experience in the rail industry, we found a lack of quality Trackmen. We also identified rail worker training centres were over promising and under delivering job outcomes to their clients and potential fresh talent.

Our main passion is to help people progress with their careers whilst providing the Rail industry with the reliable highly skilled workers it requires. We also work with various outside agencies to help individuals get into work and on the right track for life.

Michael Richards

Managing Director

Michael is highly skilled and he has over 20 years experience in the rail industry. He has worked on major rail projects all across the UK including heritage railways.

Austin Richards

Planning Manager / Safety Critical Manager

Austin has been in the Rail Industry since 2003. Since 2019 he has been working as a Possession Planner on both LNW & LNE Regions.

Austin spent many years Excelling in all safety critical roles leading to him competently acting as a Safe Work Manager on major projects such as NWEP Phase’s 4 & 5.

Umar has performed different and challenging roles in accounting and finance for many years. He moved from external & forensic audit practice to work in the industry. He started working in the industry as a chief accountant. Umar moved up the ladder of working as a group finance manager for renowned businesses in a few countries and played a pivotal role in the success & growth of those businesses.

Keith has 25 years running a civils company carrying out all types of groundworks from roads and sewers to new housing and warehouse developments. Keith then moved into training and now has 15 years experience in delivering various training courses, NVQs and setting up training centres.
